Aulus Pomponius Augurinus

Translation: Aulus Pomponius Augurinus, son of Gaius of the tribe Qurinius, Augurinus Titus Prifernius Paetus. Chiliarch/Tribune of legio X Fretensis, prefect of cohors I milliaria, being honoured with the battle of the Getai under Imperator Nerva Caesar Traianus Augustus Germanicus greatest in the world, silver banner, headless spear, and crowned in laurel. Commentary: Aulus Pomponius Augurinus was also honoured in §157. As a tribune of legio X Fretensis, he was stationed in Judaea during the late years of Domitian’s reign.
